Maike Flüshöh
At the age of 14 I discovered a CD of Billy Idol - "Charmed Life" - in a classically oriented record store. I didn't know him at that time, though his music had existed longer than me, my famous band came from the dancefloor genre, which I was much into in the 90ies. I fell in love with this cd, so I went on to by other records from him, realizing I recognized some of his songs without knowing it was him. I wanted to discover more music from this genre, and as I proceeded, hard rock felt a bit shallow, so my musical style developed to metal, where I got to like music from different sub genres. My first vocal performance was an a capella part in a stage play, which lead me to a small musical production being performed at the Werkstatt in Witten. For some time I helped some friends of a band which singer had left. The dream of having an own band became true after I saw a film of a simple singer getting suddenly famous. The need of performing in front of a big crowd overwhelmed me, so I joined hard rock band "Merlin's Legacy" over 10 years ago as backing vocalist to learn singing from scratch. As the lead singer had left the band, after looking for a replacement for over a year I became lead vocalist. As time went on, I felt the need for a new challenge, I needed a band that pushed me to the limit, being harder and still melodic. A band giving me the opportunity to provide my whole vocal range.
