Matt Bauer
As a musician is was not always easy, to get interpersonal relationships, and musical creativity, coupled with self-discipline under one roof.
In fortunately order to my modern mother, i become aware, knowing and loving the glamorous world of KISS in 1978. From then on i knew, the music circus and its magic - despite setbacks and losses - would be expire me.
It was she too, who has always encouraged and motivated me and my minor bands, always remaining true to the music.
I also started my "career" with obligatory pots hitting, as resently as a neighbor (Hungarian orchestra drummer) asked my parents, if he could store and build up his drum kit for lack of space (A Ludwig / John Bonham Signature Kit) in our basement, my world was almost perfect. In return i was drumming heart's content, and he showed me some tricks and techniques (traditional grip).
At the age of 9 years, i got my first own drum set (a discarded WDR Orchestra drum set), henceforth i got lessons from a renowned jazz drummer, but he was unable to "drum out" my rock roots, because i'd prefered drumming to KISS LP's - i think i still could completely replay the "ALIVE!" Album.
I made musical experiences and first band tentative steps in rock circles and school bands, before at the age of 17 years i first appeared in serious bands in hip clubs. Mid-eighties, the thrash and speed metal had it done to me. We copy bands like Metallica / Testament / Slayer, later then, my musician heart was beating for bands like Rush / Queensryche / Dream Theater & Toto.
I tried as a musical drummer at times (The Hunchback of Notre Dame / Berlin) and was on home / and foreign tours with contract-bands, which have finally led me in the most remote places in the world temporarily, and made me know the most incredible people, which to me - would not have been able - without the music. My conclusion: I would do it again and again!
Mayze is now my musical passion, because the band gives me the opportunity, to live out all my music influenced spectra, away from mass compatibility , and being of a good musician to which I have always been.
To date, i have released numerous Longplayer / CD's and demos with bands, and sometimes was traveling as session / live drummer. In addition, i have been involved in advertising jingles, and workshops for companies at trade shows.
