Biography

MAYZE - modern gothic metal with progressive elements

The name "Mayze" reflects the different musical styles winding their way to their music as in a labyrinth. THe songs are inspired by philosophy, telling stories of a spiritual voyage with detours and dead ends the protagonist of their story is taking to find herself.

Founded by singer Maike Flüshöh, guitarist and main songwriter Marcel Schiborr (Ex-Symbiontic), bassist Daniel Bauer, keyboard player Arne Timm (Ysma) and drummer Matt Bauer (Ex-Everflow, Ex-Scanner) in 2012 the band recorded their debut record "The Land Of Lucid Feathers" (Woodhouse Studio with Produzent Siggi Bemm - The Gathering, Tiamat, Kreator, Caliban) in 2015.

2018 Arne and Daniel left the band and bass player Bernd Juchems (Ex-Seeking Raven) joined.

2022 will see the release of the bands second full length record "Even though it is a part of me".
